Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton is the newest member of Britney Spears traveling circus this spring. When the pop star hits the road next month for her Circus tour not only will she be joined by the Pussycat Dolls, but she'll also have Perez Hilton there for every one of her dates — sort of ... The blogger will not actually be hitting the road with the singer. He was asked by the tour's director/ choreographer, Jamie King, to tape a video that will air at the beginning of each stop on the tour. "King told us that he had a dream about Perez and wanted us to be a part of the Circus," Hilton blogged on his site. "His dream is the video we shot last weekend, which is the opening video for the entire show. Britney was down with the idea and we, of course, said yes! We are thrilled to be a part of it!" In a photo on Britney Spears' official Web site, fans get a taste of what they can expect from Hilton. For his part, Hilton will be dressed as something he describes as "The Ringleader/ Queen Elizabeth I" for the video, a role he said is "super rad."

The trial of the century is finally ovah!The jury could not reach a verdict and the judge declared the whole thing a mistrial. The jury vote came back 10 not guilty, two guilty. That wasn't a waste of time at all.Britney was popped for driving without a license last year -- and for reasons that defy explanation, it made it all the way to trial.Jurors spent yesterday deadlocked 10-2 but were ordered to continue deliberating. She faced a maximum of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine if convicted of the misdemeanor.Spears was a no-show the entire trial.Prosecutors could ask for another trial. That would be a good use of taxpayer's money.

Britney's hearing for her driving without a California state license has concluded. The jury, made up of eight women and four men, is currently deliberating and are expected to make a final decision by this afternoon. This morning, Britney's lawyer Michael Flanagan, argued that Britney is "just here [in L.A.] trying to get her kids back."

Flanagan, who contests that Britney will be moving back to Kentwood, Louisiana after custody arrangements have been finalized, told the court: "She's been hospitalized, she's been driven crazy, do you blame her for wanting to go home?" Jamie Spears confirmed the news yesterday that Britney plans to head home to Kentwood during his testimony: "We're here with her kids," he said. "We have visitation rights. We have to stay to augment those rights." Britney, whose ex-husband Kevin Federline has primary custody of their children, will move back to Louisiana once 'we can travel with the kids (out of state) and spend time there,' her father said." Singer Britney Spears' father Jamie has represented the star in a court case accusing her of driving without a valid Californian licence.The charge relates to an incident in Los Angeles in August 2007 when Ms Spears was photographed hitting a parked car and leaving the scene.Mr Spears said she had planned to move to her home state of Louisiana so did not need a Californian driving licence.The 26-year-old is exercising her right to stay away from court.The pop star had initially faced hit-and-run charges but they were dropped last October when she compensated the driver of the damaged car.The prosecution said it was "a straightforward case" - her address was listed as Beverley Hills so she should have a Californian driving licence.

Her lawyer, J Michael Flanagan, told the jury there was no dispute she had been driving but said that, at the time, she had a valid Louisiana driving licence.He argued that Ms Spears did not need a Californian driving licence because she was only a temporary resident of Los Angeles.He said: "She was residing in California - I'm not trying to get tricky with terminology but 'resident' has a different definition."Her father told the court that she intended to move back to Louisiana but that her ongoing custody dispute with ex-husband Kevin Federline kept her in California.Under cross-examination, Mr Spears admitted that his daughter had strong ties with California and acknowledged that she had got married and divorced in the state and had two children there.Closing arguments from both sides were expected on Friday.Mr Flanagan rejected a plea deal which would have resulted in a $150 (£85) fine saying Ms Spears did not want a criminal record.She faces jail if convicted, but this is unlikely as she has no criminal record.This week, the singer hit the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the first time since her debut single Baby One More Time, in 1999.Womanizer, the first track off her new album Circus, was boosted by first-week download sales of 286,000.

She can't go to a f******g McDonald's without a mean, shitty blog written about her.And ten years of it, every move.No doubt you have to be strong to survive this business. But at the end of the day, she's still a girl. genuinely like her. She has a good southern laugh. I think she's a good person in a fucked up world.

I've worked with bad people. She's not one of them. Not by a long shot.So I really wanted Womanizer's video to be good.I literally could not find anytime to sleep this last week. I got six hours in four days. If I had slept more than that, the video would have suffered.Turned it in for broadcast. Went to work on other projects. Womanizer," the first single from Britney Spears' upcoming album "Circus," hit U.S. radio outlet yesterday. The track, produced by up-and-coming Atlanta team the Outsyders, has a thick, synthy sound that should lend itself to remixes and club play.Lyrically, "Womanizer" finds Spears rebuffing the advances of man with the "swagger of champions." "Must mistake me as a sucker / To think that I would be a victim not another / Say it, play it how you wanna / But no way I'm ever gonna fall for you," she sings.Among the other contributors on "Circus" are Dr. Luke, who wrote and produced the title cut, Danja, Guy Sigsworth, Max Martin and Bloodshy & Avant. The album's release on Dec. 2 coincides with Spears' 27th birthday.Although its video isn't quite ready yet, "Womanizer" will play during Monday's (Sept. 29) episode of the MTV show "The Hills."

If anyone was going to tempt Britney back to Britain, it was bound to be X Factor extraordinaire Simon Cowell.
Cowell has reportedly persuaded the 'Toxic' star to perform her new single, Womanizer, on the hit ITV1 show in December.
It will be Britney's first visit here since her Onyx Hotel tour more than four years ago.
A source from X Factor told The Sun: "Everyone is thrilled. To have Britney involved is a massive coup. They expect ratings to go through the roof when her performance airs."
Meanwhile, Britney's mum, Lynne Spears has talked about her daughter's public breakdown on US television, insisting she never pushed the young star into the limelight.
"Britney pushed me," she said. 'What was I to do? Persuade my child not to go after her dreams?"
"She was in high school, was the homecoming maid and was most popular. She had everything going for her."

BRITNEY SPEARS will share a stage with her old pop rival CHRISTINA AGUILERA at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards. The pair battled for chart supremacy at the height of their fame, then fought over MADONNA’s tongue at the 2003 MTV bash.
But now Britney is to take on Christina again by fighting to steal the show in Los Angeles.
Yesterday Brit said she would open the show, hosted by our very own RUSSELL BRAND.
Though Christina - who joined the funnyman and rapper T.I at VMA a promo event yesterday - hopes to hit back by performing tracks from her upcoming Greatest Hits album, as well as new single Keeps Getting Better.

Christina said: "You're going to get a first look and a first listen at my new image and my new sound.
"The last album, the style and sound was about vintage glam - this one is all about the future."
I Kissed A Girl singer KATY PERRY aims to muscle-in between the two pop princesses by performing Madonna's Like a Virgin.
Russell's response to Katy's addition along with Xtina and Britney:

TROUBLED BRITNEY SPEARS began boozing aged 13, lost her virginity at 14, then started taking drugs at 15, according to a shocking tell-all book by her mum.

Wild child Britney allegedly first hit the bottle after joining Disney’s squeaky-clean Mickey Mouse Club.
Mum LYNNE claims 14-year-old Britney then had sex with an 18-year-old high school footballer soon after she quit the TV show.
And she had her first taste of drugs at 15 when she went to Los Angeles to record her debut album Baby One More Time.
The sensational revelations were leaked last night ahead of publication of Lynne’s memoir, titled Through the Storm.

Lynne, 53, tells how she regrets handing over control of Britney’s career to managers and allowing her daughter to be promoted as a sex object in raunchy videos at such a young age.
She believes Britney’s wild behaviour as a teenage star is the root of her current problems.
Britney, now 26, has twice been admitted to a hospital psychiatric ward this year.
After the Mickey Mouse Club, Britney spent a year at high school in her home town of Kentwood, Louisiana, where she is said to have lost her virginity at the home of her footballer boyfriend.

As Britney later pursued her pop career, Lynne let her 16-year-old daughter sleep with teen sweetheart JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE, despite claiming she was a virgin.
A source said: “Lynne thought Britney was in love and Justin was good for her.”
Lynne’s book reportedly tells of her horror when Britney, still just 16, was caught with cocaine and cannabis on a private jet.

The book, out on September 16, is set to deepen the rift between Britney and Lynne.
They have been estranged since Britney’s marriage to KEVIN FEDERLINE broke down in 2006, sending the star off the rails.
K-Fed, 30, has custody of the couple’s toddler sons, and Britney’s dad has taken legal control of her life while she recovers from her psychiatric problems.
